Hello, You should avoid having intercourse throughout the pregnancy phase. However if you do not have any complications like low lying placenta or placenta previa then you can go ahead with it till you are fine with it.

Sex is safe in second trimester, that's 12 to 24 weeks. Provided your wife does not have any high risk factors like hypertension, placenta previa or any other co morbidity

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Why do you have to discuss such things with your friend rather than asking your wife? Ask her does she want to do it? I wouldn't recommend you doing it but its your s and your friends' decision in the end. Consult a gynaecologist in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain.
