My father is suffering from rectum cancer.
already undergone from multiple surgeries (APR, CRS + HIPEC) and chemo- radiotherapies.
Currently suffering from chronic abdomen obstructrion and unable to take anything orally therefore fully dependent on I.v. fluids and nutrition bags.
Ryles tube is also inserted for aspiration and not for feeding.
Having overactive bladder due to surgery procedure.
Mainly due to dehydration and inability to take medication prescribed, he is experiencing severe pain in penis and burning sensation during urinating.
Kindly advice how to manage these burning sensation and severe pain in penis with some i.v. infusion or injections..
Can not take medicine.

Hello. Considering the current medical condition of your father , I would suggest it would be better if you catheterise him. He is not taking orally, you need to estimate the fluid input and output for that a foleys catheter would be best.
As soon as he is ambulatory we can discuss his problem (considering he will be having post RT bladder changes, the prognosis is grim)
