I've been having extremely painful menstrual cramps. It seems like it gets worse every month. Usually I get these bad cramps two days before my cycle. I took ibuprofen, but it got worse to the point where I had to take four in the morning and then four more in the evening. I went to the doctor and they gave me an over the counter pain killer, but I've noticed it actually making the cramps worse. It spreads up to my abdomen, making it very stiff. I am 17 years old by the way.

Also if u hv been sexually active do a urine pregnancy test to rule out rarely incomplete abortion which u r mistaking as menstrual cramps.
