Hi It is a complex situation Can suggest certain pointers which may help boost serotonin levels how successful it would be can’t say Eat more tryptophan containing foods like eggs, chicken, tofu, pineapple, nuts etc( tryptophan is an amino acid which boosts the production of serotonin) Get good sunlight of about 10 to 15 mins a day 30 he exercise with cardio 5 times a week. Certain herbal supplements like ginseng or St John s wort can boost a small level of serotonin in the body. Try to not stress yourself too much and sleep 7 to 8 hrs a day.

  YES Serotonin secretion can to a large extent  be restored to near normalcy under depression conditions provided a right Diet is prescribed & underlying nutritional  deficiencies are corrected. And to a large  extent this  could be altered if  your Gut health is improved as well.
