I think u need an X-ray before reaching any. Conclusion bcoz as u said u got that injury when u was 6 yrs old and it's hard to say if it was dislocation or 3rd grade ligament tear. As u have lived with it 14 yrs, did u feel any difficulty in doing activities of daily living.
