Sebaceous cyst on my cheek

HELLO I am Prakash. I am having a fatty gland on my skin at first I thought it as a pimple and later its gets swollen and its been for 3 years but I consulted the doctor at first and they said it is not harmful. so I leave it and after two years i once again consult a dermatologist and they told me its a cyst and its good if u can remove it.so that it wont harm other parts of skin.so I want to get the treatment.soI want to know whom to consult a General surgeon or cosmetic surgeon is there any difference in treatment.as I asked the cosmetic surgeon he told that I will get stitches on my skin.so kindly recommend me whom to consult.thanks in advance.

Hi greetings, thanks for posting your concerns. Since it is bigger cyst. You can go for removal and get it stiches to be done. I would suggest you to go for proline suture so that stiches can't be appreciated after treatment. You can visit Cosmetic dermatologist or general surgeon.
