Hi, it is not recommended to stop medicine without consulting doctor. Right now patient may looks like normal, but it is because of medicine. Many times patient and relatives stop medicine once patient feel normal, but please remember it require some weeks to flush out drug remnants. And this is common cause for relapse.
I know most of medicine have side effects. but trust me their result is better than their side effects. Also no one likes to take medicine for long periods, but only because of those medicine patient feel normal.
