Scared of hiv test!
I am seeing a girl now, and since she had sexual contact with around 8-9 persons, i asked her to get tested before we could move ahead in our relationship. She got tested. Now she is asking me to do the same which is logical. However, i am too scared for std test, like what if hiv comes positive. I mean it will ruin my life. I know its stupid thinking that and my likelihood of having hiv is extremely low as I had been only with 2 partners before being their first boyfriend that too 7-8 years ago. I never had sexual contact afterwards with anyone. Yet, i am scared as hell. Please guide me to overcome this fewr and get tested :(. This hiv thing is also creating anxiety for me that what if I have it!!!

The best answer it to get yourself tested first. There are prevention measures which you can take in future. Like pre exposure prophylaxis and post exposure prophylaxis. These are important for preventing you from infections. I am an HIV specialist certified from American Academy of HIV medicine. Consult and plan ahead.
