Scalp Psoriasis
I have been using Salytar solution since 1 month thrice a week. Psoriasis on scalp has reduced but not completely cured. Also using Halosys lotion. Is it ok to use Salytar even after Psoriasis is cured??? How long coaltar and salicylic based shampoo should be used???

Thanks for the query.
The duration of usage of these products would depend on the severity of the disease. You can continue using coaltar based shampoo once a week for maintenance even after the lesions remit. However Halosys is a potent steriod based lotion and its use should be tapered as soon as possible.
