Given by by freind dr no written prescription is this dosage ok
Cantharis 30 10 drops twice for burning in urethra and chronic prostate and recurrent uti taken on off many time 2week to one or two months
Lycopodium 200 for uti and ibs again 10 drops twice a day for 1 week to 45 days or 60days taken
This has side effects?
Is dosage high?

Hai,
Cantharis 30, Lycopodium 200 are high potency medicines.
Cantharis are good for UTI and Lycopodium for IBS and all but 10 drops with frequent repetition is not HOMOEOPATHY.
UTI, prostatic complaints and IBS are diseases that need a well individualised prescription and if done like that recurrency will never happen. Please take medicines under a homoeopath or with his opinion only. Be serious about your health.

I understand your concern taking homeopathic medicines for a long time without proper supervision, especially in drop form and in high potencies, can create confusion and sometimes even aggravate symptoms. You have done the right thing by asking this question.
Let me clarify a few important points for you:
. Cantharis 30 , 10 drops twice daily
Cantharis is a useful remedy for burning in the urethra and UTI.
But 10 drops twice daily for 3 weeks or more is not a standard dose, and usually not required in such high repetition.
Long and frequent use may lead to:
Increase in burning sensation
Restlessness or urinary irritation
Unnecessary sensitization of the system
Lycopodium 200 â 10 drops twice daily for weeks/months
This is absolutely not recommended.
Lycopodium 200 is a high potency, and giving 10 drops twice daily is far beyond safe repetition.
Taken for 1â2 months continuously can cause:
Aggravation of gastric issues
Urinary discomfort
New symptoms unrelated to your problem
Over-stimulation of the remedy
So yes, this dosage is too high, and these potencies should never be used without proper case-taking.
Your symptoms (PVR around 90, chronic prostatitis/UTI)
These conditions require a systematic treatment plan, not random remedies.
We need to understand:
Your exact urinary symptoms
PVR trends
Frequency of UTI
IBS connection
Sexual health history
Ultrasound reports
Fluid intake and lifestyle triggers
Only after a full evaluation can the right remedy and correct potency be chosen.

1) Side effects are in allopathy... In homoeopathic medicines it is not side effects... They are medicinal symptoms (effects) if the medicine is not matching or it is given in too much repetition.
2) It can wear off once the medicine is stopped. But in certain medicines which are very deep and long acting like Lycopodium, it may require longer time or sometimes an antidote.
