I hope you have met a gynecologist or are seeing one. They are the best judge for such situations. A left adnexal TO mass means a mass comprising of fallopian tube and ovary of left side. The size of this is 54x48mm i.e it is less than 5 cm, hence it can be conserved. If it is due to PID meaning pelvic inflammatory disease, it could be treated with antibiotics and a repeat scan done either MRI or ultrasound.
Next Steps
If the repeat scan shows a reduction it may be good for you. At times tuberculosis can also cause such TO mass, hence blood tests can be done. If your pain is excessive or TO mass doesnot decrease on treatment, you may need surgery. At surgery usually the gynecologists conserve the ovaries. But if the tube is badly damaged, it may have to be removed. How ever it may not make you unable to have prgenancy. The other tube can help you become pregnant.
