IgM always indicates active infection. So donot consider it and proceed for pregnancy.IgG level always indicates past infection and immunity against Rubella.Start folic acid and proceed.

If one is already pregnant than we see IgM for active infection. If one is planning for pregnancy and IgG is in non immune stage then preconception vaccine is advised to build up immunity.

Ig G is indicative of the level of immunity u have against rubella. Low IgG is indicative of no immunity hence it would b worth while immunization for ur self before pregnancy so that u don't have the disease during pregnancy and baby shouldn't be affected. IgM on the other hand is indicative of whether u have an active disease
