Dear friend, is the habit recent or since long? Before treating we should know the exact cause of the problem. It might be stress, occlusal imbalance, malocclusion. Night guard would give symptomatic relief. This habit leads to wearing off the teeth surface, in future it may lead to TM joint problem. So do not neglect it. Get yourself examined by specialist for accurate diagnosis.

There are many reasons which can cause you to grind your teeth. It generally happens subconsciously when you unaware or asleep. A night guard can protect your teeth from grinding . The reason for grinding needs to be identified by the dentist. Either stress or some filling which is high or some unusual pattern while biting which needs to be corrected . Grinding is very harmful for teeth , bone supporting your teeth and the jaw joint. So needs to be addressed
