Dear Sir/Madam, For the past four days I have felt rough when touching this marked area with my tongue. Since I have been gargling with hot water for the past few days I am wondering if this is the cause? Or is it because of smoking? I am a bit worried about this, please let me know is it something serious?

This is due to smoking itself.
The heat and nicotine causes this.
The condition is known as Smoker’s palate. (Nicotine Stomatitis)
