Root canal tooth extract
My root canal tooth of 10 or more years wore out. Crown and fillings came out. after which i got the fillings and new crown again it failed then the dentist suggested post and core. unfortunately, the dentist placed the screw on the gum which caused sever inflammatory reaction. Then the inflammatory was treated and post and core procedure was undone. since 5 years that tooth is unattended. i have slight pain in that tooth and want it to be removed permanently. what procedure should i go through?? how much will it cost?

It's unfortunate to hear the tooth could have been saved with a successful post and core. I would urge you to not ignore the tooth now and Consider the following options 1.if there's any chance of repeating the post and core procedure or doing something called a cast post IF NOT THEN 2.opt for a planned extraction with the preference of placing an implant if there's an adequate bone quality and density in the area If an implant is not possible THEN 3.a bridge to replace the missing tooth with minimal loss or damage to adjacent tooth structures All these decisions can only be made with careful evaluation of X-rays and records of your mouth be sure to take a few opinions since you have had a bad experience good luck

You can go for removal of tooth followed by a bridge or implant to replace the removed tooth. Removal of tooth will be done under local anesthesia and is a simple procedure.

Hi, Considering the repeated treatment done on the tooth & having left it unattended for several years the best treatment would be to get the tooth removed followed by artificial replacement such as bridge or implant depending on the case.
