Ringworm & bumps on face
Recently i consulted a skin specialist for ringworm caused near my thighs, under breast, armpit. For the same doctor recommended me Ebernet Cream , Abzorb Clotrimazole Dusting Powder, Allercet-L tablet. Its been a month since i been using this. I have always been into hygiene, habit of washing hands with dettol everyday. Clean clothes, drying and all. Still i get itching, and now recently i got small bumps all over my face and forehead. Since i got the treatment , i have been following a diet of just curd-chapati for breakfast, beans & carrot bhaji without oil for lunch, one banana for tea time and chapati-soya nugget boiled salad for dinner. I have stopped eating any oil, sugar or masala food. Still my condition is not good. Me being a hypothyroid patient also have to take Thyroxine Tablet of 50mcg everyday. I need help!!! P.S Initially my aunt and cousin had got ringworm 6 months ago, mom-dad got ringworm 1 month ago. They dont go to doctor yet they have been recovering.

Greetings! Thanks for the reply. Treatment you have received for ring worm infection from your dermatologist is standard one. You need to take oral anti fungal medications in addition to creams if infection is extensive like in your case. The tablet you are taking is an antihistamine (for itching) and not an anti fungal. The bumps on your face are more likely due to acne (pimples) rather than fungal infection.
Next Steps
Please see your dermatologist or another dermatologist (for second opinion) for physical examination and appropriate treatment for your condition.
Health Tips
There is no evidence to suggest that any specific diet has a role in acne or fungal infection. Washing the infected areas excessively with soap may have counter productive results as it alters skin pH making it favourable for fungal growth.
