Hello Ma'am,
Rikson / Rikson Plus (risperidone-based medicine) is commonly used to treat hearing voices. Since the voices were still present after 2 weeks, your doctor has adjusted the treatment to improve effectiveness. This does not mean the dose is very high or dangerous. In older adults, doctors usually start with low doses and increase very slowly.
Feeling tiredness or mild forgetfulness can happen initially, especially in the first few days, and often settles as the body adjusts. Your doctor asking you to call if you feel excessive tiredness is a safety precaution, not a sign that something bad will happen.
Next Steps
- You can start the medicine exactly as prescribed.
- Take it preferably at night, unless advised otherwise.
- Observe for side effects like excessive sleepiness, confusion, dizziness, or unsteady walking.
- Inform your doctor if side effects are severe or persistent.

Needing medication adjustment does not mean something dangerous is happening — it means your treatment is being fine-tuned to control the voices better.
Next Steps
The doctor asking you to call if tiredness increases is normal — they want to monitor safety.
Do NOT stop the medicine suddenly, as it may worsen symptoms.
