Right Temple Pain
I have a burning sensation and wound like pain in my right temple which spreads till the last right tooth since last 7 years. It lasts continuously for 24 hours. I feel this sensation on my tongue and cheek of the same side as well. It increases as I speak or hear and after eating. This pain disrupts my sleep All my MRIs, CT scans and other tests shows that my right temple is in perfect condition. Based on  symptoms Neurologists have treated me for migraine, trigeminal neuralgia and temporal arteritis but none of them could give me relief from this sensation and pain. My Radiologist suggested to consult a Psychiatrist. Ghabrahat hoti hai jisse chest pain hone lagta hai. Need urgent help.

It sounds incredibly exhausting and frustrating to live with this constant, unexplained pain—especially when all the tests are normal and nothing seems to help. From what you’ve shared, this may be a case of somatic symptom disorder or a chronic pain condition where the brain starts interpreting normal sensations as pain due to prolonged stress or emotional overload. This doesn’t mean the pain is “in your head”—it’s real and deeply felt—but the source may not be physical anymore. Emotional trauma, long-term anxiety, or unprocessed distress can settle into the body in very specific, painful ways—especially in sensitive areas like the face and head. That’s why psychiatrists and psychologists are brought in when medical causes are ruled out. Ghabrahat, chest pain, sleep disturbance, and your reaction to speaking or eating all point toward your nervous system being stuck in a “high alert” state—what we call hyperarousal. Therapy can help calm this cycle. We’ll work with your body and mind together: through grounding techniques, trauma-informed therapy (like EMDR or CBT for somatic pain), and sometimes psychiatric support if needed. You’ve already taken a brave step by not giving up. Now it’s time to give your brain and body the chance to heal, not just cope. Take therapy, and you can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
