Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT Based on your symptoms — pain and itching in the ear canal, with a small wound and slight bleeding after using an earbud — it’s likely that you have traumatic otitis externa (minor injury to the ear canal skin). Possible Causes Overzealous cleaning with earbuds Dryness or mild infection of the ear canal Allergic or irritant reaction
Next Steps
Stop using earbuds or inserting anything in the ear. Keep the ear dry – avoid water entry during bathing (use cotton with Vaseline if needed). Avoid scratching or touching the area, as it can worsen the condition.
Health Tips
Persistent pain >3 days Swelling or ear blockage Yellow or foul-smelling discharge Fever or hearing changes Then visit nearby ENT Hospital.
