Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic condition. It cannot be cured but it can be adequately controlled and contained so as to let you continue with daily life. The modern medications are very effective. If the active disease phase is controlled then other things can be done to improve symptoms. When medications are prescribed my advice would be to continue to take them as prescribed. They are quite effective. Please see a qualified Rheumatologist for that. Keep your joints mobile, take pain killers as needed and try to stay active. The cold weather makes symptoms worse.
Next Steps
Consult a good Rheumatologist and take medicines as prescribed for the correct duration. Exercises and physiotherapy to help keep joints mobile and free.
