Returning toothache
I had an absest tooth a couple months ago and was put on amoxicillin and I taken in until the swelling went down but I have some amoxicillin left and I think that the infection is back.. can I retake the antibiotic

hello, you can do warm salt water rinses as a home remedy, but this will give only temporary relief from pain. you need to visit the dentist and get it checked.get an x-ray done.if there is a cavity get it filled.if there is infection to root of tooth get it treated.and then place crown over it.

No please do not misuse antibiotics If last time also you did not complete the course of antibiotics as you state that I took antibiotics till symptoms subsided ,same group of antibiotics might not work for You.

My advice for you is visit a Dentist as early as possible and undergo the prescribed treatment under medication
