Retinal detachment
My friend is an eye patient who has had a successful retinal detachment surgery through scleral buckling in right eye four months ago and has been undergoing monthly checkup which showed the retina to be completely reattached. Wanted to know what are the chances of detachment to occur again and usually how long does it take to gradually detach can it happen overnight or is it a slow process?

Silicon oil or C3f8 gas is usually used if the risk of detachment is seen.. this agents provide tamponade to the retina.. The risk of redatachment is higher in first 6 days and the presentation is usually sudden
