Result of Excessive clenching
My jaw, neck and shoulder muscles are so tight due of excessive clenching type activity consciously because of protruding type misaligned teeth.The results are- 1)Now my face is out of normal shape 2)jaw disorder 3)discomfort and noise from neck and back etc. My treatment for tmj disorder by dentist is on the way. What maximum damage can occur to me because of this excessive clenching? Can this jaw problem be solved by splint therapy and ortho treatment? By what observations I can judge whether my treatment is improving my condition or making it worse? Please help me and answer all of my questions.
