From last 3-4 year I was feeling shock waves like pain in the head while coughing, laughing, sudden sitting up position and after that feel pain in the neck,  so doctor told me for MRI brain and spine and diagnosed with following : The first neck bone (C1) is fused with the skull. The top of the spine (dens) is slightly higher than normal (mild basilar invagination). The lower part of the cerebellum (tonsils) is slightly pushed down — tonsillar herniation. want to if I hv to go through surgery or is thr any medication or some physical exercises can heal the problem.
