Would require details such as MRI, CT and Brain Angio to know what kind of stroke you had and what precautions will avoid future stroke. In general controlling blood sugars, blood pressure and cholesterol. Regular walking and healthy diet will help. Avoid smoking and alcohol.

I would like to know what kind of stroke you had - ischemic or haemorrhagic stroke? . Causes and treatment depends on the kind of stroke you had. If it’s ischemic stroke am afraid you were not on any stroke preventing medicines which could have avoided repeated stroke. Consult for further details
