Regular Fever from 2 Days

Asked for Male, 33 Years

Regular fever 102 - 103.5 from last 2 days in the night to my 9 months old son. I think he is teething. Visited doc, but they say its viral and suggested only paracetamol. what should I do?

Hi thanks for writing to Practo. If there is no focus of infection doctor would tell only symptomatic treatment. Keep a chart of temperature and give paracetamol every time child has fever. Also keep baby hydrated by giving lot of fluids and warm water to drink. If fever persists for total 5 days visit doctor again.
