It is better not to smoke. If you are craving for nicotine one idea is to use chewable nicotine. If not possible taking one or two is better than going back to normal level of smoking. No direct link between your surgery and smoking.
Smoking can affect your airways and cause irritative cough which can affect the stitches and may worsen the pain.
So you decide what’s best for you.
