Regarding oral cancer
My father underwent a Oral squamous cell carcinoma surgery 5 days back. Today while giving him betadine liquid oral solution for mouth wash i noticed some red patches in mouth. Kindly guide if it's Cancer or something else? It was not present before, came today only. Kindly guide

immediately go to oncologist for intra oral examination if ulcer confirm go for cytology

Is there any lesion/ulcer in that place before surgery? It can be just post surgical changes/trauma/reactions. Need physical examination by the surgeon who operated
Next Steps
Review with oncologist if looks suspicious, need biopsy otherwise healing medication would be sufficient.
