Regarding mitral valve disease

I have ask one question. My father is suffering from mitral valve disease his mitral valve size 1.2 cm. Doctor has done 3 balloning. Now he has a higher heartbeat. Sir i just want to ask this problem can be overcome after the mitral valve replacement???
