Mitral valve prolapse
I have mitral valve prolapse. My cardiologist has prescribed me embeta xr 25. At times, I am very nervous and have palpitations. Feeling like getting a panic attack. I got a panic attack in between and went to an another doctor. He asked me to stop embeta. But my palpitations and anxiety isn't reducing. I am just rushing to the ER but after taking ECG, they are saying it is normal and sending me back home. Whether I have to continue embeta or not. Kindly advise.

Mitral valve prolapse with mitral regurgitation severity needs to be known. If no or trivial MR , no need for medication. Embeta could have been given for your anxiety
