I'm supposing that your menstrual dates and ultrasound dates are corresponding,in that case you can wait for 2 more weeks and repeat scan if your bleeding has stopped. Blighted ovum means your gestational sac has no fetal element or no embryo. So this kind of pregnancy is not sustainable. It needs to be cleaned and can be done by oral medications.

Blighted ovum is pregnancy without a proper chromosomal composition of the baby which means it is an abnormal baby it doesn't have a yolk sac or a fetal heartbeat like any other baby would have so it is ideally not proceeded for conceiving and hence your doctor has told you to go ahead with abortion. abortion can be done with medicine because it is early pregnancy and if it doesn't work it can switch over to surgical procedure called suction evacuation. this decision of medical surgical will be determined by the doctor who is going to deal with you Cost varies from place to place enquire the hospital
Next Steps
most important thing is if you want to avoid next flight arrival kindly do you take folic acid tablets for yourself and multivitamins for your husband as well
