Regarding iq and psychometric assesment
My 9y old son has been showing some distinct habits and characters. His teachers describe him as having ideas out of the world and his friends describe him as his thought racing really fast that they can't catch hold. He has made some drawings as k have attached. Psychologist suggest psychometric assessment from niepid. And the report is also attached. I'm somehow skeptical is this report explains his abilities and shortcomings. He has difficulty in writing as his hands pain. Kindly help so that I can be sure if any other assesment is needed.

Your 9 year old's "out of the world ideas," racing thoughts, and hand pain while writing cannot be fully explained by a NIEPID IQ / disability report alone, as that test mainly rules out intellectual disability and does not capture gifted creativity, attention / ADHD-type patterns, or writing-related motor issues like dysgraphia / hypermobility. For clarity you should discuss with your psychologist / pediatrician about getting a complete profile - WISC-V for cognitive strengths-weaknesses, parent and teacher ADHD / behaviour rating scales, and a separate Occupational Therapy assessment for fine motor skills, grip and writing pain, plus a specific dysgraphia check. Meanwhile support him with a thicker pencil grip, short writing breaks, an idea diary for his fast thoughts,
