Regarding hair loss
Hi, Some 2.5 years back I experienced severe hair loss. I went to dermatologist who prescribed me Dr. Reddy's mintop 5% topical solution with finax 1 mg tablets (2 months). After using above mentioned medicine my hair loss reduce significantly and gained hair. But from june,2014 till jan, 2017 i have used mintop regularly. But for last 4-5 months I changed my medication and went towards ayurvedic and homeopathic medicine. But it deteriorated my hair badly as I again went on to loose hair in clumps. So, what should I do now ? Pls advice.

You may be suffering from androgenic alopecia which is also called as pattern baldness. The hairs start reducing in density at the crown (top) and also the hairline starts refeeding  from the front. This is usually progressive throughout life unless treated. The FDA approved treatment for this condition is a lotion and tablets. There is no other alternative. No oil or cream will magically work because the hairs are getting miniaturised  and eventually disappearing due to the hormonal effects on the hair roots. Along with this, you can also consider platelet rich plasma therapy for faster results. Please consult me with photos for proper examination and treatment. Do not start treatment without consulting.
