Thank you for your question. An HbA1c of 5.9% falls in the prediabetic range (5.7–6.4%), indicating that your blood sugar levels are slightly elevated over the past 2–3 months. While this does not confirm diabetes, it shows you're at increased risk. Fatigue and frequent urination can be early signs of insulin resistance or blood sugar fluctuations. However, these symptoms may also be related to other causes like dehydration, poor sleep, urinary tract infections, thyroid issues, or stress. Further evaluation is recommended to rule out other causes and assess your metabolic health.
Next Steps
Get fasting blood glucose, postprandial glucose, and fasting insulin tests. Consider a urine test to rule out infection. Check thyroid profile and vitamin B12 levels. Stay hydrated, reduce processed sugars, and include regular exercise (30–45 min daily). Consult a doctor or endocrinologist for a comprehensive assessment.
