My father is having diabetes since 8 years and he is taking medicine Vildagliptin and Triexer tablets. Are these tablets good should he continue the dosage and also his fasting reading is 140. Can you please consult as this is good to take this tablets and other things also.

Vildagliptin is good
But triexer has pioglitazone
I suggest pioglitazone increases weight, has risk of osteoporosis and patients with congestive cardiac failure cannot take it.
Also some patients have edema on feet (swelling)
