Hello Doctor, I wanted to ask about my foreskin. I am uncircumcised, but even when my penis is in a normal/flaccid state, my foreskin does not fully cover the glans. Because of this, the glans sometimes rubs against my jeans and I feel discomfort while walking.
Could you please advise whether this is normal, or if I should get it examined? Also, is there anything I can do to reduce the rubbing and irritation?

If the foreskin does not completely cover the glans even when the penis is flaccid, this can be a normal anatomical variation and does not necessarily indicate a disease. The more important consideration is whether the foreskin moves comfortably, whether there is any scarring or persistent inflammation, and whether the exposed glans is becoming irritated from friction. Discomfort while walking is more suggestive of local friction/sensitivity than a problem with the foreskin itself.
Next Steps
An examination would be appropriate if the exposure is new, progressively increasing, or associated with redness, cracking, swelling, pain or difficulty moving the foreskin. If the foreskin remains mobile and there are no other symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. Health Tips
To minimise rubbing, choose loose-fitting, soft cotton underwear and trousers and avoid rough or tight fabrics that repeatedly contact the glans. Keep the area clean and dry and avoid excessive washing with soaps or antiseptics, which can increase irritation. A small amount of natural lubrication can reduce friction if needed. Avoid repeatedly pulling or manipulating the foreskin. If the glans becomes significantly swollen, painful, develops persistent sores/discharge, or the foreskin becomes stuck behind the glans and cannot be brought forward, seek medical attention promptly. Thank you
