Red threads in poop
Hi doctor, My son is 4 months 20 days old. I started giving banana puree n Marie biscuit paste n little water  . From last two days I observed red threads in his poop. Please advice. Also this week I had outside food almost daily. Is that caused this threads in his poop due to my breast feed.please tell me what are those threads and how to prevent it.his weight is 6.58kg. he is not sleeping for long hrs. He is not crying but shouting , couldn't understand if thats game play or due to some pain in his stomach. Thanks and sorry for the unpleasant photo attached.

You should wait for atleast a month before you start solids( fruits) in babies. This altered pattern of stools is because of solids.
Next Steps
continue to breastfeed.

As a pediatrician I would not recommend to start solid food till he is 6 months old. Also please don't give any kind of biscuit. Babies might tend to be uncomfortable for a few days when solid foods are introduced

Hi. Could be a infection. Get a stool routine test and consult nearby paediatrician.
Health Tips
Start complementary feeds only after 6 months after consulting your paediatrician
