I noticed a red spot in my eye which appeared overnight yesterday. Could it be related to BP? Please help.

You have subconjunctival haemorrhage which is nothing to worry about. For the irritation, you can start eye drops refresh tears 3 times a day. This will resolve within a week. It could be a sign of high bp but probably it’s due to inadvertent trauma or rubbing in your case.
