Please see attached photo. My mother developed red clot on the eye. Please advice.
She does not have diabetes.
Has osteoporosis and varicose veins and BP. She is 61 years old.

This looks like sub conjunctival hemorrhage
It will resolve without treatment
Having said that it is provisional diagnosis
Kindly consult local ophthalmologist

It is sbconjunctival haemorrhage. Might be due to rubbing or uncontrolled bp.please get bp check up done .
You can do cold compresses and put some antibiotic eye drop.
If irritation or itching is there then put some lubricant eye drops eg teardrops 3to 4times daily.
This looks like subconjuctival heamorrhage. The common causes of this are finger nail injury, fluctuating blood pressure, vomiting, constipation, chronic cough etc

Not to worry...the blood will absorb slowly in a week time
