Red raw rice for diabetic
What is the glycemic index of red raw rice? Is it safe for diabetics? If yes, then what quantity of it can be had?

Glycaemic index of a particular food shows how fast it triggers the sugar value in circulating blood.Greater the number ,higher is the sugar rise. Raw red rice has the GI 55+/-5  which is relatively low as compared to white polished rice. Hence even though you are diabetic you can have it in moderation say 100 to 150 gms. at one time .
