RED PATCH ON THE TONGUE
Hello Doctor, I wanted to ask about something I’ve noticed with my son, who is 3.7 years old. He often gets a red patch on his tongue, which I assume is a mouth ulcer, so I usually apply Zytee gel when it appears. However, it keeps coming back quite frequently. He is a very picky eater and takes a long time to finish his meals—usually around 1 hour and 15 minutes per meal, and I still have to feed him most of the time. I’m wondering if this red patch could be related to any nutritional deficiency due to his limited diet? Is this something I should be concerned about, or would you recommend any further evaluation? Please go through the attached pictures Thank you.
