Red patch in the white area of the eye
Dear Doctor, My mother has a red patch in the left eye from yesterday. Didn't complain.of any injury or so until we noticed it. Has no pain or discomfort except a slight heaviness. Is there anything serious involved ? Plz help. Here's a picture from yesterday and today's.

Hello,
As per your history and these pictures there seem to be two possibilities:
1) small patch of subconjunctival hemorrhage
2) localized episcleritis
In case of 1) no need to do anything please only observe for another week to 10 days
Use simple lubricant drop till then for relief of heaviness
In case of 2) we may need to start mild steroids
But I can't prescribe anything without further follow up pictures
