Red ness in his right eye
My son is having redness in his right eye since 4 days Dr. Adviced for Moxicip eye drops to try for 3 to 4 days.. 4 times a days He doesn't have any pus.. itching.. pain Using moxicip for last 3 days the redness remains same or slight ncrease. Is the medication correct ? What should I do since redness is not settling down ?

Itching and redness in kids without pain or discharge is mostly due to allergy. Please stop moxi eye drops.
Next Steps
If child is rubbing eyes more often, pls tell him to stop. DO NOT RUB eyes. U can start with winolap eye drops -1 drop, 2 times a day for 1week atleast. cold packs helps to reduce itching if possible pls meet an Ophthalmologist near by.

Moxifloxacin is not recommended for children less than 8 years. Please stop it. It is an antibiotic. It needs further consult if antibiotic is required or not in your case. If needed other antibiotics may be switched to.
