For complete rectal prolapse, laparoscopic surgery, rectopexy, called Starr surgery, will be the best option. It will be curative and recovery time will be minimum that is,about four to six weeks. Offcourse, like every surgery, you will need complete evaluation for confirmation of diagnosis, and preoperative fitness.
Next Steps
consult an anorectal surgeon who performs these operations regularly.
Health Tips
Every surgery has its own complications. Need to understand that. Although,as on today, for complete rectal prolapse, Starr surgery is the gold standard.
