Residual prolapse post hemorrhoidopexy
I underwent laser stapled hemorrhoidopexy to address my grade 3 hemorrhoid that used to prolapse during a bowel movement. It had become quite big in size over a period of 5 years, but it was painless and I never had any bleeding. I am 20 days post-op and I can still feel the lump at the rectal exit (smaller in size than my actual hemorrhoid). The lump goes inside if I push with 2 fingers but then it again sits back at the same position (rectal exit 6 o' clock position) Because of the positioning of the lump, it is painful and is grazing the buttock when I switch sides. The surgeon said that it will go away in time. I wanted to know if it will really go away and what is the expected timeline? If it does not, when can I feel relieved of the pain and discomfort of that lump? Thanks in advance.

good evening laser or stapler both are two different surgeries.. if it was laser it will take time to shrink your pile mass at least 1 month to 2 months.( some patients in review told about reduced residual mass ) ...
Next Steps
consult your doctor about residual mass . physical examination needed
