Rectal Bleeding

I experienced rectal bleeding today whenever I pooped and the amount of blood was also a quite decent amount. The blood was bright red in colour. Also, I don't know if it's relevant or not but I am on my period and the cycle started today itself. I just wanted to know if it would be okay if I could show it to a doctor tomorrow as I'm not sure how much of an effect this could cause in my health. Also, should I take some medicine to stop rectal bleeding for a while? Please advise.

add plenty of fibers in your diet avoid spicy oily fried and non veg food plenty of fluids sitz bath 2 times daily with luke warm water (10ml betadine solution)
