Re occurance of fever

Asked for Female, 38 Years

A child of 3 yrs vomits does not eats any thing and has a repitative fever Maftel has been given but fever comes bak after some time This has been happening since past 1 week Chest is conjured with cough and the child also has cold Is there a specific blood test to detect reoccurrence of fever again and again Does widal test helps

There are many reasons for recurring fever,viral or viral to begin with now with secondary bacterial infections. Widal is one of the test amongst other test. Widal is to find out for typhoid infection. Did you show it to your pediatrician? As fever going for more than 1week cannot be neglected. Dengue, swin flu, pumonia, typhoid and so on. If child is not well,not eating, getting hospitalised will help as he will be under observation and things can managed faster.
