Rate of beard growth decreasing
Dear Doctor, I have been diagnosed with hair loss at 24 and I have been on finasteride 1mg and minoxidil for almost 10 months. Things are going fine with no side effects. But one thing is concerning me is the rate at which the beard growth has reduced. I feel that even though I get my full beard but the speed at which it grows back has reduced. Should I stop finasteride. Will it cause hair loss again. Can it be possible that rate of beard growth can decrease due to finasteride use. Kindly advise. Jose George

Always consult your treating dermatologist Please do not self treat finasteride will only increase and enhance your growth it does not decrease Infact if you stop by yourself it can reduce furthermore All side effects if any can be dealt swiftly by your treating skin specialist.
