Rash on foot

Asked for Female, 19 Years

Self diagnosed athletes foot. Have been takng over the counter cream for a week. Day before yesterday night my ankles were itchy with no visible signs of anything being wrong. Yesterday night discovered clusters of red bumps on both feet. Worse on the right side than the left. And bumps are clustered on the foot but sparsely travel up to the knee.

Thanks for the query. Fungal infection is becoming an increasing problem due to rampant usage of antifungals. Please see a dermatologist as some extra medications are coprescribed many a times to treat. If needed a simple skin test can also be done. Till then use only OTC anti-allergic medications to control itching. Personal hygiene should be good. Wear loose fitting clothes.
