Rapid weight gain and loss
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism around puberty and gained around 30 kg over a very short time. However, I have lost weight rapidly over the last couple of years without doing anything. I am now just 1-2 kg above underweight for my height according to the BMI, and my weight has remained the same for the last 7-8 months. I have been taking thyroid supplements everyday and my tests show that it is completely in range. Is this normal?

Rapid weight loss withoit doing anything can be due to some ailments also. So do proper check up of yourself. Do blood sugar, CBC.
Next Steps

If your tests are normal and you have no symptoms, there is nothing to worry.

If you have lost weight over long period of time it can be considered normal, provided you must be exercising as well. Moreover you haven't mentioned your actual height and total weight in provided time period. This can be helpful for us to judge the pathology, if any. You can always take Consultation online if in any doubts
